Seven Archangels: Annihilation

So, what's it all about?

Angels supposedly live forever. Souls--both ours and humans'--were created to be eternal, which is what makes Heaven so awesome and Hell not such a nice thing to contemplate. God's first titles were Creator and th Life-Sustainer, and God's very name means "I Am," so you can understand what kind of importance God attaches to our existence.

And you can see why our enemies would consider that a very big target.

Satan thinks he figured out how to annihilate an angel's soul. Actually, Mephistopheles did it for him, but Satan isn't above using one of his top demons' ideas to his own advantage. And if Satan thinks he can spit in God's face, he's going to try.

So he kidnaps the Archangel Gabriel and performs the procedure on him.

What happens next is a mess. I end up stranded in Hell, unable to save Gabriel but unwilling to go back and admit I couldn't do anything about it--and then when I do get a chance, the other angels send me back down to try finding parts of Gabriel's soul! Raphael, Gabriel's bonded Seraph and best friend, is absolutely beside himself as he tries to save Gabriel from non-existence. It's the worst thing Raphael can think would happen--until God forces Raphael to choose between Him and Gabriel! Other than that, God is refusing to get directly involved. And--as if I care--Mephistopheles is knee-deep in second thoughts about the whole deal. (Nice move to think about the consequences now, mister!)

It's a storm that encompasses all Heaven and Hell before it's over, a question of what it means to be eternal, what it means to die forever, and what it means to love someone when you know it can cost you everything.

Okay, NOW are you interested?
